About the Journal
Journal of Interdisciplinary Qur’anic Studies (JIQS)
The Journal of Interdisciplinary Qur’anic Studies (JIQS) is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to advancing scholarly research on the Qur’an through interdisciplinary approaches. The journal seeks to bridge classical Islamic scholarship (turāth) with contemporary academic perspectives, fostering critical, analytical, and contextually relevant studies of the Qur’an.
JIQS provides a platform for researchers, scholars, and academics to explore the Qur’an in relation to diverse fields, including the humanities, social sciences, and scientific disciplines. The journal emphasizes methodological rigor, theoretical depth, and originality, encouraging contributions that address contemporary global issues through Qur’anic perspectives.
The journal publishes original research articles, review papers, and conceptual studies in English to ensure international accessibility and academic engagement. All submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to maintain high standards of quality, integrity, and scholarly contribution.
